A HS Senior photo session and a visit to Fernland in Montgomery, Texas
Today I’m sharing an Oak Ridge High School Senior Session with you, this handsome young man is active in his church choir and works with his mother in her amazing cookie decorating business. AJ was a joy to photograph and was happy to agree with many of his mother’s request, she was a happy mama!
For AJ’s session we headed out to Montgomery, TX the birthplace of the State of Texas flag. Our location is a popular one so we had to be mindful of other photographers and Fernland Museum visitors but it’s a great place to stop and visit if you are in the area.
He brought along some shirt options and so he changed out to a comfy casual t-shirt midway through the session. It’s important to remember to get your senior in clothes that are true to their personality not just the styles that you see others in or online in photos on those pinterests boards.
We had fun out there and his mom was sure to step off and give him some space so that he didn’t feel pressured to smile for her but instead simply relax and have a little fun. She did pop in now and then and mention some things she loved about the session or the surroundings so I always knew if we were moving in the right direction. But she also made sure not to steer me off track and for that I appreciated her so much, we made a good trio! I appreciate you stopping by to see some of that days photos. I had a lot of great captures that day and AJ’s mom was so excited that when she got her gallery she shared it on Facebook and I do believe his phone app has been the most shared and viewed!
